Checklist
Commodity enquiry checklist
The six things worth having ready before you ask any supplier for a quote - so your enquiry gets a precise reply.
A short, supplier-neutral checklist you can run through before contacting us (or anyone) about cocoa, coffee, cashew or rubber. The clearer your enquiry, the more precisely we can confirm what we can support.
Before you send an enquiry
A good enquiry is not about committing to anything - it is about giving a supplier enough to respond precisely. Running through the six areas below tends to turn a vague “do you have cocoa?” into a conversation that moves quickly. None of it is a barrier to getting in touch; even a short message helps.
1. Commodity & origin
- Which commodity - cocoa, coffee, cashew or rubber.
- Any origin preference within our West African focus (Ivory Coast, Liberia), or “either / unsure”.
- Any crop characteristics that matter to your process.
2. Quality to request
- The grade, form or descriptors your buyers expect.
- Moisture, defect tolerance, outturn or screen size where they apply.
- The standard you are held to downstream.
3. Quantity & unit
- An indicative volume - even a range is useful.
- The unit you buy in (kg, metric tonnes, containers, bags).
4. Destination
- Discharge port or destination country.
- Any inland delivery considerations.
5. Packaging & documentation
- Packaging suited to your handling and transit.
- Which documents you will want to discuss for a shipment.
6. Timing
- Your preferred shipment window.
- Any seasonality or deadlines on your side.
What happens after you send it
We review your requirement and reply with what we can currently support, flagging anything we need to check. Nothing is committed until specification, documentation and terms are agreed with you directly. Availability and specifications are always confirmed on enquiry.
