Coffee buyer discussion guide
How to describe the green coffee you need - species, processing, quality descriptors and packaging - without assuming confirmed grades.
Green (unroasted) coffee is graded, screened and moisture-checked before it ships. This guide lists what buyers usually discuss so we can talk specifically about preparation and documentation. We do not claim confirmed coffee grades here - they are agreed on enquiry.
Green coffee, prepared for the trade
Coffee passes through many hands between tree and roaster. We aim to shorten that distance: a clear conversation about what you roast or trade, and green coffee prepared and documented to match. Origin still shapes cup character and green-bean quality.
What to describe
- Species: Arabica, Robusta or a blend requirement.
- Processing preference (natural, washed or another method) if it matters to you.
- Grade, screen size and the quality descriptors your buyers expect.
- Target moisture and defect tolerance.
Packaging & commercial details
- Jute, liners or barrier packaging for longer transit.
- Indicative quantity and the unit you buy in.
- Discharge port or destination country, and your preferred window.
A note on honesty
Coffee is offered as green (unroasted) beans, with species, grade and processing confirmed on enquiry. Imagery is illustrative of coffee at origin and does not imply owned estates or roasting operations.
